About Us

Founded in 2019 on the West Coast of Australia by Josh McLaughlan, Cali Chamber was born to bring together like-minded individuals who share an interest in unlocking one's full potential through a deeper understanding of Calisthenic's, strength training, mobility, functional health, and mental resilience. 

Our training philosophy revolves around a strategic & systematic approach to Calisthenics that caters for all levels of fitness. 

What is Calisthenics?

Calisthenics, also known as bodyweight training, is a physical fitness discipline that has been around since ancient Greece. The term "calisthenics" comes from the Greek words "kalos" and "sthenos," which mean "beautiful strength." This type of training involves performing various exercises that use your own body weight and added weight as resistance to build strength, endurance, and flexibility.

Calisthenics workouts typically include compound exercises, such as push-ups, pull-ups, dips, and squats, which target multiple muscle groups at once, making them highly effective for building overall strength and power. In addition, calisthenics also improves your balance, coordination, and range of motion.

What we offer

1:1 Personal Training

Calisthenics is a very individualised sport. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. With 1:1 coaching we map out the best pathway for you and focus on the right progressions. Sometimes we can lack the push or adjustments needed to take our training to the next level and this is where a face to face coach can bridge that gap. 

Online Coaching

Our online service is designed for those ready to take training to the next level with the support in your hands. Our programs are tailored to your goals with instructional videos, weekly feedback and online community we help you achieve the  movements and lifestyle changes you have always wanted to make. 

1:1 X Online

The best of both worlds. Set sessions with a coach and programming on the remaining days. This is a great option for those who need the extra assistance in training with in-person feedback and motivation whilst completing sessions in your own time to achieve your goals around training and lifestyle.

Class Pack

Keen to get amongst but not quite fully ready to commit? Our casual class packs are a great option to get a taste for what we do. You can purchase a once off 10 or 20 class pack and use them as you go! These passes are only valid for 8 weeks.

Class Membership

Work better in a team environment? Our Academy membership is for those who thrive of working out with others. When joining the team you get unlimited access to all of our class times alongside a private online support network and tracked metrics to ensure progression. 

STRENGTH

The blueprint designed to work on pure bodyweight and weighted calisthenics strength. Implementing a strategic systematic approach to the basic's like the pull up, push up and dip to increase overall total reps and 1 rep max's 

SKILL

Learn the fundamentals and progressions to more advanced movements like the Muscle up, Handstand / HSPU, Planche, Front + Back lever. Skill is the by-product of a good foundation in strength and mobility

MOBILITY

Mobility helps unlock your potential to perform movements faster whilst increasing overall range of motion, building connective tendon strength and muscle tissue to perform Cali and body weight movements.

The growth has been insane.

Within the first month, I have achieved unassisted ring muscle ups, elbow planche, L-sit to handstand press on ground and p bars. The added mobility sessions has made me the most mobile I’ve ever been in my life, which has been a bonus considering I sit all day for work.
